Too little about experiences with eDimensional shutter glasses on the internet I think. There is a future in the shutter-glasses approach I think.

This was really helpful.

I bought the wireless and now the wired glasses to view 3D DVDs, but I gather a stereoscopic DVD decoder is needed. I have been given the www for a company 3DTV in Austria. I downloaded their free version, but couldn't get it to connect properly. I wrote to them, but had no reply.

Shame, because they also offer a multiplexer for combining the outputs from two video cameras for various stereo formats that I am interested in.

Interestingly, the output from the DVD seem to spuriously phase with the shutter glasses to provide a good stereoscopic effect from time to time.

Games were not my interest, but I will certainly download the Doom3 to see what happens. I was thinking of getting an nVidia card to try out more games, but eDimensional say only to use the 7000 series with a CRT (which I have as well as a LCD) and from what is said here this might not play new games- while the later cards may not work with CRTs?

Hi there, I just received my wireless glasses to and when i first plugged them the whole screen became filled with lines, tough I wasnt on a game yet, pressing F4 didnt work. Im using the Non-Nvidia drivers. When I turned glasses on they flickered for a second or two, one side would remain black while the other clear and then they would shut down. Both pairs i bought did this. I uninstalled reinstalled and now screen only goes into lines mode when y press F5 and im playing a Game, but glasses dont turn on anymore. I used a Camera to see if the IR plug was lighting up and it is not :( . I just bought replacement batteries and hope its that.

Any ideas????

Great Post! You can pick up a pair of 3D Glasses for free at Rainbow Symphony. They will send you almost any kind of 3D ( I did not realize there were so many different kinds of glasses for different 3D applications)
